INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PROPERTY
TELL ME MORE ABOUT WHY THIS IS AN AWARD-WINNING HOUSE
Our goal was to create a beautifully designed passive home with a minimal ecological footprint, and we’re just tickled that it has garnered a bit of media attention. We’ve been fortunate to have the house featured twice by New Hampshire Home Magazine, first as the 2024 Green Design Home of the Year and more recently with a 12-page spread in the magazine’s 2025 March/April Green Issue. Forbes Magazine also recognized the house’s architects, AW-ARCH, in their inaugural 2024 America’s Top 200 Residential Architects list and featured our house in the recognition. The awards highlight the home's innovative passive design, which minimizes energy consumption while maximizing comfort and natural light, as well as the home's unique architectural design, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

Lake Waukewan is 928-acres, spanning 2.1 miles long and a width of .9 miles. It is Meredith’s water supply, featuring clean water and an average depth of 22 feet. Waukewan flows into Meredith Bay of Lake Winnipesaukee through the Inn at Mills Falls. The water level is controlled by the Dam Bureau of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services.
How close are you to the lake?
Just a short walk on a 200’ path through the trees, and you are at the private lakefront!
WHAT’S WITH THE RAILROAD TRACK?
A portion of the historic Winnipesaukee Railroad runs through our property but is only used for scenic foliage tours in late September and October (Fall Foliage Trains). For the rest of the year, the tracks offer a lovely walking path along the lake.
